Girls Love Gymnastics!

That's the title of an American Girl book that our 10yo received for Christmas. And in her case, it's definitely true. She has taken gymnastics classes for about five years now, but her real interest was sparked following the last summer Olympics. I would tape the gymnastics segments for her (they were always on after her bedtime) and we would watch them the next day. She would clip pictures out of the newspaper and play "gymnastics" with her Barbies. And it's grown from there. Just recently she began training with the competitive team at the gym. Will she be the next Carly Patterson? I don't know and we're not pushing. Right now we are content to be the parents of one of the girls that loves gymnastics.
