For the last four or five years, traveling has been
so easy. I could pack us all up in 30 minutes with no forethought, no lists. Our oldest can pack for herself. Getting out the door was a breeze. Trip to the Grandparents? No problem. Overnight? Easy. I had forgotten what it was like - traveling with an infant, that is. Diapers, burpy cloths, changes of clothing, nursing pillow, infant Tylenol, that nose clearer bulb thing, blankets, toys, and passifiers. Did we get enough diapers? Don't forget the butt paste. Should I bring the breast pump and bottles? What about the stroller? Does Mom have Dreft at her house? Then comes the long ride in the car seat. For a little one who has just learned to roll over, this is not the ideal way to spend the afternoon. Plus you have to time it just right; you don't want to get 15 minutes into your trip and have a hungry baby in your van. Getting out the door was less than a breeze this Christmas. But boy was it worth it.

cute, but it's still not him rolling over.
I love baby's expression in the carseat with the white sweater and hat. Will you e-mail it to me so I can print it out. grandma
